The Acting Head of Testing and Development Division at the West Africa Examinations Council or WAEC Liberia Office, Mrs. Wynnah George Soper said that Liberia’s education system has improved in recent years.
“I would like to salute these efforts on the grounds that we are all Liberians, and we have heard that our education system is a mess, but today we see the great efforts of our students, which proves that our education system is n It’s not a mess at all, on the contrary, it has improved,” she notes.
Mrs. Soper made the observation on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the WAEC Liberia office in Congo’s oldest city during the presentation of the cash prize of LRD 150,000 to the duxes of the 2021 WASSCE exams administered across Liberia. The award was presented by the Executive Director of People Actions Network or PAN, Former Ambassador Rufus Neufville.

We are grateful to see like-minded people like Ambassador Neufville embark on this great initiative which I believe will encourage our students to take time and study their lessons. during exams,” said Soper.
She notes that there are many young people who ride motorbikes and refuse to go to school, adding that it makes her happy to see young students taking national exams.
According to her, at first the students were afraid to take the exams on the grounds that it was difficult, “but now, every year, we see improvements; that alone says a lot that our education system is improving.”
