The Fantom Foundation is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the Private Education Institutions Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (PEIRA) to begin work on a custom ERP/Database Management Suite for Trials of products.
In line with the agreement signed on May 5, Fantom will upgrade legacy PEIRA systems with a blockchain-based solution enabling database audits and real-time monitoring of system changes. The Fantom product will additionally feature a user interface designed according to the specifications.
After successfully completing a pilot program, PEIRA and Fantom will explore opportunities for widespread adoption of the software beyond the Islamabad region, where PEIRA is primarily active. The two parties will further explore how local e-commerce initiatives could leverage Fantom’s extensive DeFi expertise to streamline their IT operations.
Following the launch of a blockchain development program with the Punjab Department of Prisons, this agreement marks Fantom’s growing presence in Pakistan, where government agencies are moving quickly to capitalize on the benefits of blockchain-based technologies.
“We are delighted to support PEIRA in the important function they perform,” said Barek Sekandari, COO of Fantom, adding, “Our ERP/CRM products bring transparency and accountability to the complex database systems used by organizations. We note that our solutions align with the general trend in Pakistan, encouraged by the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan, towards the adoption of new technologies to increase efficiency and surveillance, and we look forward to help more organizations in this transformation.
